The first project which the team at Aqua MAX under took was the design of the first 5-star energy rated and 10-year warranty heater. After much careful engineering and design production commenced in 1992 with over 100,000 units sold with in the first 6 years.
Aqua Max Purchased By Rheem
The success of Aqua MAX was quickly noticed by other hot water manufacturers in the industry and its was bought out in 2009 by Rheem Australia. The purchasing of Aqua MAX from Rheem Australia enabled the expansion of distribution nationally and with this came the improvement of efficiency in manufacturing in the main plant located in Moorabbin, Victoria, Australia.
Since Aqua MAX began its operations it has maintained its commitment to Australians by only offering a minimum of 5-star energy rated gas water heaters. Aqua MAX also offers high efficiency electric storage water heaters.
In 2013 Aqua MAX introduced their stainless steel tank range of mains pressure electric storage water heaters to the Australian market. This particular model was 50% lighter than their previous model and there was no longer a need for a sacrificial anode. This range of water heaters also comes with a 10-year warranty; this model is 27% more efficient than the Minimum Energy Performance Standards set by the Australian Government.

In the continuous flow range of hot water systems Aqua MAX offer entry level systems starting at 20L per minute suited to small homes with one bathroom, where the demand is higher in homes with two or three bathrooms Aqua MAX provide a 26L per minute model offering continuous hot water on demand.
